Gideon Ministries welcomes everyone—regardless of background, race, gender, religion, or denomination. We minister to adults, couples (including those in premarital relationships, ongoing marriages, and marriages in crisis), children and teens with a parent, and entire families.We gladly receive all who come, and we are unapologetically a Christian ministry. We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation and the essential foundation for lasting healing and deliverance.

People often feel tormented when a deep emotional or physical wound—especially one that led to dissociation—becomes a point of attack. The wounded, dissociated part can remain frozen at the age and intensity of the original trauma. A demon exploits that opening, targets the inner wound, and amplifies the pain.

Inner healing is the restoration of the wounded mind and soul. In our work we find that many of the openings demons use are tied to a broken heart—the parts that still carry pain, hurt, and trauma. Those wounds need to be healed before demons are confronted and cast out. The aim is to restore fragmented parts of the soul and mind. We follow Christ’s example and bind up the brokenhearted.

Deliverance is the process of breaking the legal rights that give a demon permission to torment or indwell a person. In this framework, a demon cannot act without that permission. A legal right is the opening—under God’s law as we understand it—that the demon uses as a license to stay. A demon’s legal right may include:The original sin that opened the door for its entry.The overwhelming emotion (such as fear, shame, or rage) that was produced by sinful abuse.A sinful reaction or behavior that developed in response to that abuse.A lie that a wounded part of the person has come to believe.The conscious or unconscious will of the core person to keep the demon present (some people actually like or feel attached to their demons). A single demon can hold multiple legal rights at the same time. The process starts with a spiritual assessment that gathers key details about the individual's spiritual, behavioral, and emotional background. This is followed by an interview to:Understand their reason for seeking prayerIdentify the source and depth of their emotional woundsAssess the source and extent of any demonic influenceThe deliverance then proceeds as follows:Close any legal rights giving demons accessHeal the identified woundsConfront and Cast out the demons with the power of the holy spiritEquip the client with self-inner-healing and self-deliverance prayers for any remaining issuesThe entire ministry is conducted peacefully, with great care and thoroughness, and in complete confidentiality.

Demons main goal is to indwell humans (demonization) to defile God’s image, operate through bodies, and block destinies. They work by assignments with specific functions, often tied to their names, forming kingdoms led by a strong man (commonly Satan or Jezebel).Demonization is often subtle and can afflict even productive Christians, manifesting as inner torment, repeated failures, irrational fears, depression, or clusters of unexplained sicknesses.Key indicators include:Hindrances in the Christian walk and spiritual progressPersistent relational strife or inability to form godly relationshipsHearing voices, uncontrolled emotions, confusion, or suicidal thoughtsDemonic perceptions, abilities, or influencesSexual harassment or physical attacks during sleep Idiopathic or clustered infirmitiesSelf-destructive behaviors (excessive tattoos, self-injury/Nonsuicidal Self-Injury (NSSI))Life stagnation, criminal acts, sexual perversion, occult involvement, or satanic beliefsThese signs often appear in clusters rather than isolation.

A demon is a fallen angel who joined Satan’s rebellion, seeking to be like God, “the Most High.” Having rejected God’s will, they follow prideful desires of their own. They are cursed and, in our understanding, irredeemable. They hate human beings because we are made in God’s image.We do not dwell on individual demons. Obsessing over demonology can become a distraction. It is enough to know they often work in groups by function—anger, hatred, violence, sexual sin, witchcraft, and the like—and in ranks under a ruling spirit.The spirits we encounter most often are identified as Satan, Jezebel, or Lucifer spirits, usually acting as a strongman over lesser spirits.Our concern is not cataloging demons. It is finding the legal right that lets them afflict someone, then breaking that right so the person can be set free in Jesus’ name.

Demons exist to kill, steal, and destroy. They are pure evil with no redeeming qualities. Each has a specific destructive assignment, though not every misfortune is caused by them. Their ultimate goal is to drag souls into eternal torment in hell. I don’t spend much time on demonology. There are likely millions or billions of demons, each with unique functions and names. It is enough to understand them as grouped into demonic families. We fear God alone, not demons. The enemy is on a leash held by our sovereign, good, and almighty God. Our posture is one of holy fear and reverent trust in the Lord. Though powerful, demons are fully under God’s control. They cannot act freely and must receive his permission every time they seek to indwell, oppress, or torment a person. This truth is clearly demonstrated throughout Scripture: Satan had to ask God’s permission before he could afflict Job (Job 1:9-12; 2:4-7). God sent a tormenting spirit to King Saul (1 Samuel 16:14). The Lord allowed a “thorn in the flesh” — a messenger of Satan — to remain with the Apostle Paul to keep him humble (2 Corinthians 12:7). God permitted the destroyer spirit to strike the firstborn of Egypt during the Passover (Exodus 12:23). Satan asked God for permission to attack Peter. (Luke 22:31-32) Demons recognize spiritual authority and anointings, and they know when someone truly serves Jesus. Christians filled with the Holy Spirit have authority over demons. Luke 10:19 — “I have given you authority… to overcome all the power of the enemy.” Matthew 10:1 — "Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness." Matthew 18:18 — “Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven.” Mark 6:7 — "Calling the Twelve to him, he began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over impure spirits." Mark 16:17 — “In my name they will drive out demons” (a sign for those who believe). Luke 9:1 — "When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases," James 4:7 — “Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” 1 John 4:4 — “The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” Believers in Christ exercise their authority over demons in Jesus’ name through faith, submission to God, and the Holy Spirit’s power—not personal strength.

Deliverance is usually a progressive process, not a one-time event. While God can deliver instantly, the normal biblical pattern is gradual—“little by little” (Deuteronomy 7:22). One session may address one demonic kingdom, with others handled later as needed. We fully trust God’s sovereignty and timing, knowing he guarantees victory for those who remain faithful. God honors sacrifice, a contrite and repentant heart, and complete honesty with the deliverance minister. Hidden sins—called “secret sins”—can hinder deliverance because Satan uses them as legal rights. There is no judgment or condemnation here. Some hesitate because of shame over their past, but our goal is simply to identify and remove the enemy’s legal rights so the captives can be set free. For those in Christ, there is no condemnation. When we repent, God no longer sees our sins—He sees the face of His Son, Jesus, who has justified us and washed us clean with His blood.

Yes, God's healing power is not limited by distance, space, or time. Remote ministry is just as effective as in-person deliverance. Just as Jesus healed the Centurion’s servant from afar, our Zoom sessions produce the same powerful results as private in-person encounters. Requirements: A quiet space, reliable internet, and working camera/microphone.
